
Should have seen this one coming. This is how it happens. Everything is fine, great even, and then this. There’s no harbinger either. The skies are clear, there’s no unidentified rattling sounds, nothing in the x-ray. Your only real warning is your own lack of expectedness. It’s like the slow ascent of a rollercoaster. You know the fall is coming, but the anticipation is so distracting that when the rickety car tips the apex and begins its plunge, you’re all like “Woah”.
